IVF Success Stories

Ambuja was the eldest daughter of Mr. Vaithinathan & Mrs. Devi. She had three sisters and one younger brother. Her father passed away when she was 10 years old and mother used to manage the house with lot of difficulty. But her sorrows didn’t end here. When she was sixteen her mother also died of dengue. She was left out all alone in this world with the responsibilities of four siblings. She had to quit studies and started working in a garment shop so that she could send her brother and sisters to school. Time passed by and she became both mother and father for her siblings, worked hard and managed to educate them up to graduation, thereafter she had to arrange for their marriage. She never cared for herself and by the time she could settle her sister’s marriage she was 37 years old. After her marriage, everybody encouraged her to get married and start a family. Somehow she found a match at 38 years and got married to Mr.Venkatesh. He was also 44 at that time.

After marriage both started looking for a baby and because both were elderly, started taking treatment 6 months after marriage. She never knew that late marriage can be of such a problem to have pregnancy.
Her doctors started telling her that her AMH is low and she is exhausted of eggs from her ovary and there was no hope for her. She finally landed up at FEMELIFE FERTILITY FOUNDATION with a last hope. At FEMELIFE FERTILITY FOUNDATION, she came to know about Donor Egg program by which elderly couples can conceive. Here the couple opted for the treatment and started the process of ICSI. After a month she conceived with twin pregnancy and delivered a boy and girl child.
The couple got a leash of new life at FEMELIFE FERTILITY FOUNDATION, Hence they visit Femelife every year here on their children’s birthday and express their gratitude. FEMELIFE FERTILITY FOUNDATION is now a second home for them.

The Surrogacy Dilemma In India

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction that helps biological parents start families when they cannot conceive naturally or  artificial methods. Couples pursue surrogacy for several reasons and come from different backgrounds. There are two types of surrogacy arrangements: gestational surrogacy and traditional surrogacy. In gestational surrogacy, an egg is removed from the biological mother or an anonymous donor and fertilised with the sperm of the biological father or anonymous donor. The fertilised egg, or embryo, is then transferred to a surrogate who carries the baby to term. The child is thereby genetically related to the woman who donated the egg and the father or sperm donor, but not the surrogate. In a traditional surrogacy arrangement, a surrogate becomes pregnant with the use of her own eggs. Indian government legalised surrogacy in 2002 and from then gestational surrogacy is practiced in India. Surrogacy is an option GUIDELINES
